Jacob was in foster care since the age of 12. He has overcome a lot of tragedy and grief in his young life and has become a man of strong character. He has emancipated himself from foster care and is a hard-working father who has his children residing with him. He loves his two babies and cares for his family in his time away from work. He is such a hard worker that he is known by his co-workers as “Super-Jake”. He is always willing to take on challenging jobs and even returns to his former transitional housing program to offer help and mentor other transitional-aged youth. Jake is also going to college part-time online.

Jacob is a hardworking former foster youth who is building a bright and stable future for himself. He currently works in the agricultural department at a local university, where he helps care for the campus farm, supports research projects, and contributes to growing fresh food for the community. Jacob is proud of the work he does and shows up every day ready to give his best. Jacob wishes for a sturdy, high-quality pair of work boots. His job requires long hours on his feet in rough outdoor conditions, and reliable boots are essential for his safety and comfort. Unfortunately, the cost of durable work boots is more than he can manage right now. Fulfilling this wish would help Jacob stay safe on the farm, protect his feet from injury, and allow him to continue the work he loves with confidence.
