Jacob was in foster care since the age of 12. He has overcome a lot of tragedy and grief in his young life and has become a man of strong character. He has emancipated himself from foster care and is a hard-working father who has his children residing with him. He loves his two babies and cares for his family in his time away from work. He is such a hard worker that he is known by his co-workers as “Super-Jake”. He is always willing to take on challenging jobs and even returns to his former transitional housing program to offer help and mentor other transitional-aged youth. Jake is also going to college part-time online.

Jacob is a hardworking former foster youth who is building his independence one step at a time. He loves fixing things around the house and dreams of having the right tools to take on projects safely and confidently.
