Makenzie has been in the foster care system since April 2022 and is currently living in foster care, away from her family. Despite the challenges she faces, Makenzie has aspirations of living independently after graduation. She is particularly interested in pursuing her education at college or a trade school for cosmetology. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and getting her hair done—a passion that aligns with her career goals. Maintaining connections with her friends and family, especially those who live far away, is very important to her, as these relationships provide support and comfort during this transitional period in her life.

Makenzie is learning to live independently. She enjoys shopping for clothes and would like to receive more clothing for Christmas. Currently, she is attending school for medical billing and could wear her new clothes for both school and work. This is wish 1 of 2.
