Makayla is making significant progress in her recovery and is working hard to create a better life for herself and her children. Having experienced foster care herself until she aged out, she is now striving to reunite with her two kids, who are currently in foster care.

We are so proud of Mikayla for the growth that she's experienced in the last 6 months or so since she has been a part of our program. Mikayla entered foster care at 12 years old and aged out at 21. Mikayla did very well for a while before she fell into some destructive habits. Her 2 kiddos were placed in foster care; Mikayla was devastated, but she had her mind set on getting them back. Mikayla just got her kids back, and we are so proud of her. She looks happy and healthy again. Mikayla lives right down the street from the movie theatre, and the kiddos always ask to go. She hasn't gotten to take them yet, but her biggest wish right now is to take them to the movies over Christmas Break. We would love to help make this happen!
