Jamar is a smart, strong-willed boy. He is one of eight siblings, and it can be challenging at times to get the attention that he needs to help him navigate some of the things that he worries about. He and his siblings have experienced a lot of trauma, which has led to their out-of-home placement. He knows what he wants and is vocal about it. He has learned to stand up for himself and his siblings due to some of his experiences in their biological home. He enjoys playing games like basketball and soccer and riding his bike with friends. Jamar likes the color blue. He loves to eat reman noodles, rice and beans, BLT sandwiches, and plantain chips. Jamar strives to be a good bother and works on bettering himself every day.

Instead of just watching, he’ll be in control, racing, transforming, and creating imaginative scenarios. Every time he plays, he builds confidence, stronger friendships, and sharper skills that benefit him both socially and academically. The excitement of racing and transforming the car helps him release stress and recharge after school. Using the remote and gesture controls improves his hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, which are important for both academics and sports. Playing with RC cars can reinforce STEM concepts like cause and effect, sequencing, and problem-solving. Understanding how gestures trigger responses or how the car moves helps him connect play with learning. Demonstrating the toy’s unique features gives him confidence in explaining and teaching skills that carry over into school and peer interactions. Mastering the controls and showing others how the car transforms builds pride.
