August has been in foster care since they were ten years old. They and their siblings were taken away from their biological parents due to neglect, witnessing domestic violence, and experiencing physical and emotional abuse. August lacks confidence and is fearful of becoming independent. They struggle with basic life skills and lack many experiences, such as going to amusement parks, the mall, or just being a teen.

August loves watching new movies, especially in theaters with his caregiver and sibling. He particularly enjoys action and horror films. When at the theater, August likes to eat Red Vines and popcorn!
