New shoes for Vance who is quickly outgrowing his current pair
Vance, 17 years old, NC |
Wish submitted by:
Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemVance is a reserved young man in the 11th grade. He is very bright and keeps his grades up at school. He likes to cook and bake and made the majority of Thanksgiving dinner at his group home this year. Vance also likes fitness, weightlifting, and martial arts. As is the case with most teens, he tries to keep up with the latest fashions so he can look cool in school. When he graduates, he is interested in a career in auto mechanics or the racecar industry.
Vance is currently in a group home, and he came in with just one pair of shoes. He really likes Nike and has asked for a pair of Jordans for Christmas. He is such a good kid and has been through quite a bit in his 16 years. This will really help lift his spirits.

A note has been added to Vance's wish!
"Thank you for granting Vance's wish for some nice sneakers! He doesn't ask for much and when he told his volunteer this is what he would like, we were so excited! He usually asks for "needs" not "wants". You have made this young man's day a little brighter!"
