Ammon is a kind-hearted and energetic child who enjoys spending time outdoors, playing sports, and being around people with whom he feels safe and comfortable. He thrives in active, hands-on experiences and has demonstrated resilience despite ongoing challenges in his family life. In January 2025, concerns regarding his mother's substance use prompted child welfare services to become involved, as this situation was impacting Ammon's safety and well-being. At that time, he was observed to be constantly physically exhausted and taking on caregiving responsibilities for his younger siblings, which were beyond what is appropriate for a child his age. Ammon is struggling to find a sense of normalcy but remains positive, upbeat, and hopeful for the future.

Although Ammon has lived in San Diego his entire life, he has never had the chance to visit SeaWorld. Over the past year, he has expressed a strong desire to go and observe the marine life there. Given the stress and instability Ammon has faced, this trip represents an opportunity for joy, normalcy, and a positive childhood experience. A visit to SeaWorld would give Ammon something to look forward to and help him create another meaningful memory during a challenging time in his life.
