Xochitil entered foster care as a teenager. She lived in two foster home placements. She was lucky to stay with a foster parent who helped her learn how to parent her child and become a first-time mother. The foster home was stable and loving. She aged out of foster care at 18 and moved into her own apartment. A few weeks later, her son's father moved in. She has faced many unexpected challenges, including mental health issues, emotional abuse, and psychological abuse. Her son's father was aggressive and destructive; he broke many items in the household during that time. Luckily, Xochitil found the strength to leave that relationship and start over.

During Xochitil's last relationship, one of the casualties was her television. This loss hit hard for her, especially since she has a small child. Watching movies together at night is a cherished activity for both of them. Without a television, those cozy movie nights have become difficult. Xochitil really hopes to get a new television so they can enjoy their favorite films again.
