Clothes shopping for Armarni who typically only has second-hand clothing

Armarni, 15 years old, OR

Wish submitted by:

Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc

Armarni's mom was evicted from her home and has been living in shelters and with friends, who often provide unsafe environments. She struggles with addiction. Armarni's dad was in federal prison for several years and is now living in a clean and sober house. He attended behavior school and has been working on managing his actions. Currently, he is staying with his grandmother and is doing much better in school, achieving A's, B's, and C's. The stability his grandmother has provided has greatly helped him. Armarni loves sports and participates in unified basketball, where he assists children with disabilities. He also plays basketball, football, and baseball.

Armarni is hoping for a gift card to Nike, a store he has never had the chance to visit. While he typically shops at second-hand stores, he never complains and is always grateful for what he has. This request is not about wanting more; it’s about seizing an opportunity to elevate his self-esteem and confidence. Given the positive changes he has made recently, being able to choose some clothing at the Nike store would truly serve as a rewarding recognition of his growth. It would mean a lot to him. This is wish 2 of 2.
