Ashley was born in Massachusetts. In January 2025, she was placed with her current caregiver through a fictive kinship arrangement, referred by Child and Youth Services (CYS). Seeking refuge, she moved in with her foster mom, who is her next-door neighbor. Ashley has been accepted to community college and plans to transfer to either Kutztown University or Alvernia University to pursue a degree in art history or a related field. She aspires to become a museum curator.

Ashley is preparing for the next stage of her life. She has worked incredibly hard over the past year and has grown significantly in her current foster placement. She has already been accepted to college for the fall but desperately needs a new phone, as her hand-me-down one has a cracked screen and doesn’t hold a charge for long. This new phone will be a lifeline for her as she embarks on her next journey. She is currently working a part-time job while attending high school to pay for the phone service. Having a new phone will also give her a sense of dignity when she uses it in public.
