Talia is an outgoing and resilient teenager who still is enthusiastic about learning and her future. She is ambitious and athletic. After being out of school due to family circumstances and parental choices, she is now back in high school. She loves going to school and learning – she especially likes her AVID class (Advancement Via Individual Determination). Talia hopes to run track and try out for the step team. She has a dream of opening her own therapy practice that focuses on young children and the elderly. She says that she feels like these two populations are overlooked when it comes to mental health.

Talia is currently in her fifth placement. The good news is that she can continue working with her therapist, who is helping her with emotional regulation and managing trauma triggers. While she was able to bring a lot of her clothing with her, she only stayed at her last placement during the colder months, so she is in need of warmer weather clothing. Talia has requested a Target gift card, as there is a store located near her placement where she can purchase what she needs. This is wish 1 of 2.
