NM CYFD - San Juan CountySkyla is shy at first but has a lot going on beneath the surface as she learns to communicate in a world that works differently for her. She loves Cocomelon in sign language, adores princesses, and is adjusting to a new placement away from her parents.
Skyla loves princesses and dreams of magical worlds filled with adventure. As she adjusts to life in foster care, she seeks comfort in simple things. One of her heartfelt wishes is for a night light to help her feel safe as she sleeps in her own room. Recently, Skyla experienced trauma, making nighttime particularly challenging for her. A gentle glow from a night light would not only brighten her space but also provide the reassurance she needs to embrace her new surroundings and find peace at night.
