Malayah is a bright and kind young person who has been working incredibly hard this year. Adjusting to being in foster care has been challenging for her, but she is strong and determined to succeed. She loves fashion, dance, cheerleading, and being active in her church community. Building connections with others has been essential in helping Malayah grow. Expressing herself through style and movement brings her a great deal of confidence and joy.

Malayah has been diligently working with her intervention specialist and therapist to improve her education and mental health. She has made significant progress since she first entered care. Recently, she has been focusing on making connections and forming new friendships. For her recent birthday, Malayah wished for one special gift: a pair of Nike Dunks. Unfortunately, her foster parent was unable to purchase them at this time. As Malayah develops her own style, these shoes would help her feel more confident and provide a way for her to express her love for fashion.
