Yusufu loves the outdoors and enjoys being active. People describe him as resilient, hard-working, athletic, and kind. He has a very tender heart despite all he has endured. He is placed in foster care.

Yusufu has a chance to go to summer camp this year at Camp Judson, and it would be his first time at camp. For many kids, summer camp is a fun part of growing up. They swim, sit around campfires, make new friends, and stay up late laughing in cabins. Yusufu hasn't had experiences like this yet. Going to camp would let Yusufu be a kid for a week—exploring the outdoors, making friendships, and creating lasting memories. It's also a place where teens gain confidence, work as a team, and find strengths they didn’t know they had. With this wish, Yusufu could enjoy activities like hiking in the beautiful Black Hills, playing games, and connecting with other students for support and fun. Most importantly, it would give him a sense of belonging and joy in a meaningful way.
