Claudia faces several developmental challenges. Although she has not yet received a formal diagnosis, she is non-verbal, uses diapers, and is unable to eat on her own. As a result, she is unable to perform many of the activities typical of children her age. Despite these difficulties, Claudia attends school and continues to grow and learn in her own way. She lives with her loving mother and three siblings, all of whom have similar conditions. Her mother works tirelessly to provide the best life possible for her children, despite having very limited resources. Life is not easy for Claudia, and the world is often not designed to accommodate her needs. Nonetheless, she continues to push forward with strength and love. While Claudia does not have many specific preferences, she enjoys spending time with her siblings.

Claudia is in urgent need of a bed. When her family moved to a new apartment, a severe roach infestation forced them to leave all their beds behind. She currently sleeps on mattresses placed on the floor, which will not provide the comfort or support she will need after her upcoming surgery. A proper bed will help ensure Claudia can rest safely and comfortably during her recovery.
