Kobe has been placed with his grandmother while his mom is serving a prison sentence. He loves to play outside and is looking forward to the fun of summer. Kobe enjoys playing with his monster trucks and spending time with his older brother. He also loves watching his brother play soccer and going to the park together.

Kobe is currently sharing a bed with his older brother because his own mattress has seen better days—it's worn out, and the springs are exposed. The family is requesting a new mattress so that both boys can have their own personal space at night. After a long day filled with playing and learning, they really need a comfortable place to rest. A new mattress will not only provide them with the comfort they deserve, but it will also last through Kobe's growing years.
