Willow has had a difficult life. She entered foster care when she was six and spent almost ten years moving between different homes before being adopted at fifteen. Throughout this time, writing helped her cope and understand her experiences. Now a college student studying journalism, she wants to become an author. In her spare time, she enjoys attending poetry slams, where she listens to others and shares her own work that reflects her dreams and inspirations.

Willow likes to look her best at all times. She wants hair extensions so she can style her hair in a way that helps her feel confident, comfortable, and truly like herself. Not having access to the hair she needs impacts how she shows up in her daily life, affecting her confidence and sense of belonging. Being able to style her hair would give her the opportunity to feel put together, express her personality, and move through the world with greater self-assurance.
