Moving costs for Payton who finally has permanent housing

Payton, 36 years old, CA

Wish submitted by:

Asian Women's Shelter

Payton is a survivor and devoted mother of three who has grown up in seven different foster care homes and later fled years of domestic violence to create a safer future for herself and her children. Payton is studying, working part-time, and raising her three wonderful children on her own. Despite the trauma she has endured, she remains deeply committed to providing the stability, love, and opportunities she believes her children deserve and to rebuilding her life with the children. Payton finds joy in cooking and loves experimenting with new dishes for her family. She hopes to become an educator for youth so she can support young people who may need additional care, guidance, and encouragement.

Payton is excited to finally move into her permanent housing after a long and difficult wait. She has worked incredibly hard to create a safe and stable future for her children. Growing up in seven different foster homes herself, Payton deeply understands how important stability and a sense of home are for children. While she works hard to support her family, her part-time income is not sufficient to cover all the costs associated with moving and settling into a new home for a family of four. Receiving moving assistance would make a meaningful difference for Payton and her children as they transition into their long-awaited permanent housing.
