Tires for Daron's families van
Daron, 2 years old, OR
Wish submitted by:
Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, IncDuring his mother’s pregnancy with Daron, there was no prenatal care. He was born with meth, fentanyl, and benzodiazepines in his system. Despite going through withdrawal and needing multiple surgeries, he has shown himself to be a strong fighter and survivor. Daron is very loving and has a close bond with his grandmother, who is currently raising him. He enjoys looking at books and being read to, and he also loves playing with trucks and cars.
Two-year-old Daron is currently hospitalized and facing ongoing, complex medical challenges after a difficult start to life, including multiple surgeries and the need for a feeding tube. His care requires traveling 136 miles round-trip several times a week to see specialists keeping him alive, but his family’s van isn’t safe to make the trip due to worn tires. With his grandmother by his side in the hospital and his grandfather caring for other children at home, this family is doing everything they can. New tires would mean safe, reliable transportation to Daron’s life-saving appointments, and one less worry during an already overwhelming time.
