A hoverboard for Matthew to play with his sister during visits

Voices for Children - RiversideMatthew is athletic, smart, and adventurous. He cares deeply for his sister, who lives in another foster home. He and his older sister were found on a corner, homeless. Their mother has significant mental health and substance misuse challenges, and she did not have the means or provisions to support and care for her children. Both children also witnessed domestic violence with their fathers, and that is what brought Matthew and his sister into protective custody.
Matthew and his sister do not live together, but they have been able to see each other more often with support from their Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). When they were younger, they both had hoverboards, and Matthew remembers that time as one of his happiest memories. Matthew would love the chance to go hoverboarding with his sister again during their visits. Spending time doing something fun and special together is very important to him and helps strengthen their bond.
