Heather receives support from Hope in a Suitcase, which helps youth who have experienced foster care. Heather is pursuing a degree in social work and is working to support herself and her child. She has faced numerous challenges along the way and is committed to providing her child with a happy, fulfilling childhood, free from the child welfare system.

Heather is requesting a baby gate that can also function as a safe play area to support her baby’s early development and exploration. This would give her child a secure space to practice important motor skills like crawling and standing while staying protected from household hazards. It would also provide Heather with peace of mind and allow for short periods of hands-free time to manage daily tasks, knowing her baby is safe and supervised.
