Nilda is an amazing college student who has been working so hard in studying studio art! Nilda is part of the Guardian Scholars program, which is a program at community colleges to support former and current foster youth. Along with being pregnant, she continues to go to class, completes her assignments, and she also completes program expectations. All of this has shown us that she is serious about her college education and is open to getting help when she needs it. Nilda is an amazing artist, quirky, and has a contagious laugh.

Nilda is expecting a baby boy in the next few weeks and is excited to welcome her son into the world. She wants to provide the best care possible for him, but she currently does not have outside family support to help with the many necessities that come with preparing for a newborn. Having grown up in foster care, Nilda does not have the same support system that many new parents are able to rely on. Nilda is also a college student studying studio art and is working hard to continue her education while preparing for motherhood.
