Deshonae is aging out of foster care and getting ready to move into her first home. She is adjusting to becoming more independent and learning to manage life on her own. She has shown a lot of growth by finding a job and securing a place to live. Deshonae is hardworking, motivated, and focused on building a better future for herself. She plans to go to college to study nursing and is excited about her future and the goals she wants to achieve.

Deshonae is a young adult in foster care who has not let her circumstances stop her from continuing her education. She is a 2026 senior and plans to pursue a career in nursing. Deshonae is requesting a laptop to support her schoolwork, as some of her classes will be online while others are in person. Having a laptop will help her stay on track with assignments, complete virtual coursework, and work toward her goal of graduating.
