Kia loves spending time with her kids, watching movies, being outdoors, and cooking for them. She dreams of going back to school online to pursue a career in nursing, where she can help others. Kia is a strong and resilient woman, pushing forward for the sake of her family and working towards a brighter future.
Kia is a devoted mother who is currently staying in a shelter with her five children while working hard to secure permanent housing for her family. Despite the challenges they are facing, Kia continues to put her children's needs first and looks for ways to create positive memories during a difficult season of life. With one of her little ones celebrating a birthday, Kia would love the opportunity to take her children for a special overnight stay at a hotel with an indoor pool. Because shelter space is limited and privacy is scarce, a night away would provide the family with a rare chance to relax, have fun together, and simply enjoy being a family. Kia hopes to bring a small cake, ice cream, and snacks to celebrate her child's birthday poolside and create memories that her children will remember for years to come. A stay at a Holiday Inn Express would not only provide access to a pool but would also allow the family to enjoy breakfast together before returning to the shelter the next morning. This experience would give the children a chance to laugh, play, and celebrate while giving Kia a much-needed opportunity to recharge and enjoy quality time with her family.
