Foster Alumni MentorsLexi is a kind, determined young woman who has overcome countless obstacles with quiet strength after experiencing foster care. Though she’s naturally shy, her love for others shines through in everything she does. Lexi is a devoted mother to a set of beautiful twins, who are the center of her world and her greatest motivation. Her journey has not been easy, but her courage and perseverance continue to inspire everyone around her.
Lexi has been managing a significant number of appointments and responsibilities recently, which has increased her anxiety and triggered symptoms related to PTSD when she is out in public. As part of her ongoing healing journey, her therapist has recommended gradually rebuilding her confidence in public settings by bringing along her emotional support animal, who provides comfort, grounding, and a sense of security during stressful situations. Lexi's cat serves as an important source of emotional support, helping her navigate environments that can otherwise feel overwhelming. To safely and comfortably bring her ESA with her to appointments and community outings, Lexi is in need of a secure, durable, and easy-to-use cat carrier. Having the proper carrier would allow her to follow her therapist's recommendations, increase her independence, and continue taking meaningful steps toward overcoming her fears while feeling supported throughout the process.
