Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, IncElsie was placed in her aunt's care because her father was incarcerated and her mother was actively struggling with drug addiction. Despite her circumstances, Elsie is a bright light, and people often comment on her kindness. She has a lot of energy and enjoys activities such as swinging outside, jumping on the trampoline, riding her scooter, swimming, and engaging in science and art projects. Elsie thrives in school and always puts forth her best effort.
Elsie is currently sleeping on a 14-year-old daybed that no longer supports her properly since she has outgrown it. Getting a "big kid" bed frame would boost her self-esteem and provide a comfortable space for her to grow into. This new bed would last her for many years, making it a worthwhile investment for her comfort and happiness. Plus, it would give her a sense of independence and ownership in her room.
