Elsie was placed in her aunt's care because her father was incarcerated and her mother was actively struggling with drug addiction. Despite her circumstances, Elsie is a bright light, and people often comment on her kindness. She has a lot of energy and enjoys activities such as swinging outside, jumping on the trampoline, riding her scooter, swimming, and engaging in science and art projects. Elsie thrives in school and always puts forth her best effort.

Elsie needs a new mattress to go along with her new bedframe. She is currently sleeping on a 14-year-old mattress that does not fully support her. Due to developmental delays, she has experienced nighttime incontinence, and having a fresh, clean mattress would really help with her self-esteem and help her move on to this next step of adolescence.
