Geyli is a youth in a foster care program. Geyli arrived to the U.S. in 2020 after fleeing from her home country of Guatemala to seek safety. She has been living with the same foster family since 2021. After working hard to learn English and catch up on curriculum, Geyli graduated high school with this spring and will be starting college in the fall!

Geyli is interested in a one year Y membership to stay active and socialize with friends. While she awaits work authorization approval from her attorney and awaits college, the Y membership will help Geyli fill her time in a positive and enriching way. Geyli's closest friends are already members at the Y and she is hoping to attend with them, so this is definitely a membership that will be used often.
