Daniela immigrated to the U.S. from Romania at age 9 due to her biological parents' inability to care for her and her siblings. After entering the foster care system, she was adopted by a New Jersey family, along with another Romanian child. Despite being intelligent and learning English quickly, Daniela struggled to adjust and has since lived with two more families. She is currently recommended for residential treatment before potentially being reunified with a family interested in adopting her. Daniela enjoys visiting her resource parents and is eager to learn new coping skills. She hopes to attend college and become a veterinarian to help animals.

Daniela is currently residing in a residential treatment program that aims to help her manage her mental health more effectively. One of her favorite coping skills is journaling about her thoughts and experiences. As a Christian, Daniela is using her faith to come to terms with the trauma she has endured. She is hoping for her own Bible that includes space for journaling, as she believes it will help her navigate her healing journey.
