Kayla was raised by her grandmother for most of her life until her grandmother became ill and was unable to care for her. Over the past few years, she has been in multiple living situations that have not worked out for her. Kayla is always willing to help friends in need and loves to sing and cook when she has the opportunity. She envisions herself working in a nursing home or with the elderly in the future.

Kayla is trying to get her living situation on solid ground, and staying in touch with the right people is a big part of that. Her cell phone is her lifeline for coordinating appointments and planning for her education. Right now, though, she really needs a phone charger to keep it powered up. Without it, she risks losing touch with those who can help her through this transition.
