At almost 10 years old, Alayna is a bright, caring, and responsible young girl who has grown up as one of the big sisters in a large family. Although she has had many challenges from being in foster care, she demonstrates a strong sense of resilience. Being one of the older children has taught her patience, kindness, and the importance of helping others. She has a nurturing heart and enjoys being a helper around the house. She willingly does her chores and loves reading and hearing the stories from the Bible. Although she is responsible, she is still a child who loves to laugh, draw, play with dolls, polish her nails, dance, flip, swim, and read. She is learning to balance being a helper with making time for her own dreams, interests, and adventures. Her experiences as a big sister has helped her develop confidence, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Alayna is eager to improve her reading and math skills and has been working hard to make progress in both areas. A tablet would provide access to educational programs and resources that can help her practice, learn, and build confidence at her own pace. Having this tool would give Alayna additional opportunities to strengthen important academic skills both at home and outside of the classroom. This wish will help her continue growing, learning, and reaching her full potential.
