Sophia has experienced a very difficult foster care journey, moving from home to home and facing many challenges along the way. Because of the instability she has experienced, she hasn’t always had the opportunity to discover the things that make her happy or explore her own interests. Now, in a loving and supportive foster home, Sophia is beginning to find her own sense of style and has developed an interest in makeup and doing her hair. Despite everything she has been through, Sophia remains optimistic and hopeful about her future. She dreams of becoming a nurse in the Navy and is excited to build a life filled with purpose, stability, and opportunities to help others.

Sophia wishes for a gift card to purchase new shoes and makeup of her own. Throughout her foster care journey, she has often worn used or hand-me-down items and hasn’t had many opportunities to choose things that reflect her personality and style. As she begins discovering her interests, she has become excited about makeup and doing her hair. Having new shoes and makeup would give Sophia the chance to express herself and feel confident as she begins this exciting new chapter in high school.
