Preston is a teenage boy who is working hard to build his independence and prepare for the next chapter of his life. He is currently transitioning from traditional foster care toward independent living, an exciting step that comes with new opportunities and responsibilities. He is growing in his confidence and independence as he works toward his goals and builds a future for himself.

Preston recently moved into his own apartment and is working toward greater independence. He does not feel comfortable using the gas stove and would really appreciate a hot plate as an alternative for heating and preparing simple meals. This would help him feel more comfortable and confident while learning to manage his own meals in his new home.
