Steven has experienced significant trauma, and he is still working to process those experiences with the support of mental-health services. Even with these challenges, Steven’s heart is one of his strongest qualities. He cares deeply for his sister and half-sister, whom he is separated from. Steven also has a deep love for his family members who live in another country, including his mother and brother. Family means everything to him. Steven continues to show strength as he works through his healing journey, and he deserves support, understanding, and opportunities that help him keep moving forward.

Steven has made incredible strides in his reading comprehension and is officially on his third chapter book! Reading has become a powerful coping skill for him, offering an outlet to escape into new worlds during difficult times. Having never been to a bookstore, Steven wishes to visit Barnes & Noble with his two siblings to pick out books together and share his newfound love of reading. This gift will give Steven a well-deserved reward for his hard work and provide a special bonding experience that inspires his brother and sister.
