Raien is a vibrant, outgoing young woman. She has been through a lot, having experienced foster care and aging out, but she works hard at her job and works hard at building and maintaining community and friendships. Raien is a great storyteller, a fashionista and a sweet older sister to the younger women in our nonprofit group.

Raien is seeking assistance with selecting a winter parka as she prepares for her move to Alaska, where she will embark on a new job and a fresh start. One of her biggest challenges is adjusting to a climate that differs significantly from what she's accustomed to. Arriving in Alaska and starting a new position right away means that having a warm and reliable parka isn't just a preference for her; it's a necessity. She needs this essential piece of clothing to effectively navigate her new environment and ensure she's well-prepared for the conditions she will encounter in her daily life and work.
