Raien is a vibrant, outgoing young woman. She has been through a lot, having experienced foster care and aging out, but she works hard at her job and works hard at building and maintaining community and friendships. Raien is a great storyteller, a fashionista and a sweet older sister to the younger women in our nonprofit group.

After aging out of foster care and moving more than 30 times throughout her life, stability is something Raien has worked incredibly hard to find. She now has an opportunity to take a job in Alaska that could give her the chance to become financially stable and build a more independent future for herself. It’s an opportunity she's incredibly grateful for, but it also means leaving the people and place she knows and essentially starting over. As she prepares to leave for Alaska, she’ll need to move the belongings she currently has into a friend’s basement while she's away. Having enough sturdy storage totes will allow her to safely organize and protect her things during this transition instead of having to throw away belongings simply because she doesn't have a place to keep them. This may seem like a simple request, but for Raien, these totes represent preparation for a new beginning. She's trying to give myself the best possible chance to succeed in this opportunity and take another step toward the stability she's spent so much of her life searching for.
