The Friends of Foster Care

Rowan is a bright and chatty kid with a passion for dinosaurs, effortlessly identifying them and sharing interesting facts. He enjoys building block towers for his toy dinosaurs and has a natural curiosity, often asking "why" questions about the world. After spending six months with his current foster family following a period of significant neglect, he’s making strides in his development, particularly in speech, thanks to early intervention services. While he can be strong-willed and have emotional reactions when things don’t go his way, his foster family is helping him manage these feelings with patience and consistency. As he prepares to start kindergarten, Rowan feels both excited and nervous, deserving of a stable home to continue building his confidence and skills.

Rowan loves a good hands-on project, and a build-your-own car sticker book would give his curious mind a new way to explore, design, and create, all while building fine motor skills he's still developing. It's the kind of activity he can dive into independently or share with his foster family, giving him a calm, focused outlet that can help balance out some of his bigger emotional moments. As Rowan gets ready for the excitement and nerves of starting kindergarten, having a favorite, engaging activity to return to offers a comforting bit of routine. This would give Rowan a fun, creative project and a confidence boost as he heads into this new chapter.
