Lela is a hardworking, motivated college student focused on completing her education and building a successful future for herself. She takes her studies seriously and keeps pushing toward her goals even when life gets hard. Outside of school she loves listening to music, dancing, spending time with friends and family, and trying new things, and she finds real joy in giving back to others and making positive memories with the people she loves.

Lela is studying business administration at Mercer County Community College while working part-time and helping her mother care for her three younger siblings. Since her mother's difficult divorce put the family under real financial strain, there's been little money left over for anything beyond the basics, and Lela has been sleeping on an air mattress because the family couldn't afford a proper bed for her. After working, attending classes, studying, and helping out at home, having a comfortable place to finally rest each night would mean so much to her.
