Ross is a wonderful older youth in foster care. He is working full time at a fiber cable company while saving money. He just moved out of his foster home into his first apartment that he paid for. He is interested in going to college in the near future to study Engineering. Ross is the oldest of 3 siblings and has a lot on his shoulders of being a good support to his sisters. He recently completed an older youth program called MYLA, Missouri Youth Leadership Academy where he was awarded the MVP award.

Ross, an older youth, has recently moved into his first rental apartment and is eager to remain in care until he ages out, allowing him to develop the independent skills he needs for adulthood. Full-time work is helping him acquire essential items for his new home, and he is committed to saving money while staying ahead on his bills. Currently, he has a few hand-me-down towels to start with, but he dreams of having a matching set that not only looks nice but also represents his journey toward independence—something he can cherish for years to come.
