Foster NationReece spent a few years in the foster care system and faced his biggest challenge when he had to leave California and his family behind, losing the opportunity to visit his parents. The uncertainty of foster care was difficult, especially not knowing if he would be separated from his sisters. Through it all, Reece has held onto hope, drawing strength from sports and the support of his aunt. He believes changes should be made to make it easier for youth in foster care to return to their home states and access important resources. Reece remains focused on his future and dreams of eventually moving back to California and pursuing his goals.
As a younger sibling in the foster care system, Reece has not only had to move away from the state he called home, but has also watched his older sisters age out of the system and move away. Now, under his new guardianship, Reece does not have the rights to see his siblings regularly and is struggling to find fulfillment in their absence. He has always found joy and comfort in video games, and would love to give streaming a try. Due to financial constraints, he is hoping for a webcam to help him get started. By launching himself into this new hobby, Reece hopes to create a new outlet for himself in his new home.
