Reece spent a few years in the foster care system and faced his biggest challenge when he had to leave California and his family behind, losing the opportunity to visit his parents. The uncertainty of foster care was difficult, especially not knowing if he would be separated from his sisters. Through it all, Reece has held onto hope, drawing strength from sports and the support of his aunt. He believes changes should be made to make it easier for youth in foster care to return to their home states and access important resources. Reece remains focused on his future and dreams of eventually moving back to California and pursuing his goals.

After moving away from his home state and being separated from his older siblings, Reece has been struggling to find activities that bring him joy. Throughout his time in the foster care system, he has always found a happy escape in playing video games. Without the presence of his siblings, Reece is hoping to get into video game streaming as a new hobby. Due to financial limitations, Reece is hoping for a microphone to help make this possible.
