Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationTasha is a bright and determined young woman who finished high school at 17. With a love for science and math, Tasha thrives in fast-paced situations where she can think quickly and solve problems. She dreams of becoming an ER nurse, where she can combine her strengths with her passion for caring for others during some of their most difficult moments. Tasha has experienced tremendous loss after losing both of her parents and being separated from her siblings. These changes have made it difficult for her at times to feel like she truly has a place to call home. She is living in a group foster home as she prepares to age out of foster care and begin building a life of her own. Despite everything she has faced, Tasha continues to look toward her future with determination.
Tasha wants a Walmart gift card to help her buy the items she will need as she begins college and takes her first steps toward becoming an ER nurse. As she prepares to age out of foster care and become more independent, many new expenses come with starting this next chapter. A gift card would allow Tasha to choose the school supplies, dorm or apartment essentials, clothing, personal care items, and other necessities she needs to feel prepared. This gift would help ease some of the financial stress of starting college and allow Tasha to focus on her education, her independence, and the future she has worked so hard to build.
