A Peppa Pig vehicle playset for Michael who is struggling to adjust to his new home
Michael, 3 years old, OH
Wish submitted by:
Therapeutic Interagency ProgramMichael is a quiet little boy who has been very tearful since he entered foster care. The adjustment has been very hard for him. He is very connected to his siblings and doesn't like to be away from them for any period of time. He was removed from his mom's care due to her substance abuse and neglect. He is a bit delayed for his age and needs some therapeutic supports to help him catch up with skills.
Michael recently moved to a new home, and the adjustment has been hard on him. He misses his mom and does not understand why he cannot be with her. His foster mom is doing everything she can to help him feel safe, and she knows that healing will take time. Michael loves Peppa Pig, and this playset would give him a toy that is completely his own, something familiar to play with while everything else feels new. Because Michael has a developmental delay, pretend play with the characters can also support his growth by encouraging language, imagination, and fine motor skills, all while he has fun at his own pace.
