An ice maker for Emari who wants cold drinks at home without the constant trips and expense of buying ice
Emari, 21 years old, OR | 16 DAYS WAITING

The Lost & Found InstituteEmari’s childhood was a series of transitions, moving between foster homes and group homes, where she never quite found the sense of belonging she longed for. After aging out of the system, she had to learn how to navigate adulthood independently. She now works as an office assistant, starting her days early and tackling tasks with a sense of responsibility she developed over the years. Emari finds comfort in writing and poetry outside of work, using these creative outlets to process her past and express herself in authentic ways. Writing has become her refuge, a space where she can explore her emotions and find meaning in her experiences.
Emari wants an ice maker to make her everyday life a little easier and more enjoyable. Her apartment refrigerator doesn't have a built-in ice maker, so whenever she wants a refreshing, ice-cold drink at home, she has to go out and buy bags of ice. Her own ice maker would let her enjoy cold drinks whenever she wants, without the extra expense or hassle of constantly buying ice. While it may seem like a simple household appliance, it represents comfort, convenience, and one less thing to worry about for Emari. Little comforts that make a house feel like home can mean so much, especially when they make everyday routines easier. Helping Emari get an ice maker would not only fulfill a wish but also give her something practical she can enjoy and appreciate every day.
