Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationHayden is an energetic dude. He has sensory issues and is continually working through those to learn what works best for him. Being one of seven kids is tough, but he always does his best. He really loves to play video games. He is able to calm his emotions and mind when he plays. He is very good at them and seems to pick up new games and skills extremely fast. Hayden was placed in kinship care with a friend of the family.
Hayden is nonverbal and has difficulty walking, but you can see how much he loves bouncing by the way his face lights up. A trampoline would offer him therapeutic benefits and fun. Bouncing helps him calm his emotions, release his energy, and feel regulated when he plays. It also gives him a safe way to practice movements and exercises he works on in therapy, such as balance, strength, and coordination. Hayden has six siblings, and a trampoline would give them a special way to play together. They could take turns bouncing, laughing, and cheering one another on, creating joyful memories side by side.
