Layla is a sweet, caring, and resilient young girl who has faced challenges no child should have to experience. She entered foster care alongside her younger brother due to unsafe living conditions. Despite these hardships, Layla remains deeply connected to her family, especially her younger brother and adult sister. She has always been naturally nurturing and protective of her younger brother, often taking on a caretaker role. Her loving heart and strong family bonds are central to who she is.

Layla is a caring and resilient young girl who has faced significant uncertainty while navigating foster care with her younger brother. She had hoped to reunite with her mother soon, but a recent setback has delayed that timeline. Despite these challenges, Layla continues to grow and enjoy being a kid through activities at the Boys & Girls Club, where she builds friendships and connects with peers. She also loves makeup and hair and dreams of attending cosmetology school one day. Family, friends, and supportive adults are especially important to Layla, and an iPhone would help her stay connected to the people who care about her. After spending so much time looking out for others, having something of her own would give Layla a meaningful way to maintain those relationships and feel supported as she looks toward her future.
