Remi has overcome significant challenges while navigating the transition to adulthood after aging out of the juvenile justice system. Following several family losses, she had to put her education on hold, but she is now working hard to get back on track. Remi is enrolled at Sacramento City College, where she is pursuing her degree while managing her own apartment and finances. She is also committed to strengthening her financial literacy and budgeting skills so she can build a stable, independent future. Since connecting with AcademySTAY in January 2026, Remi has stayed focused on her goals and taken meaningful steps toward the future she envisions for herself.

Remi’s laptop recently broke, and she will begin classes in a few weeks. Without a reliable device, she cannot access her class portals, complete assignments, or prepare for coursework. After working hard to get back on track academically following a difficult few years, returning to school is an important milestone for Remi. An iPad would give her the tools she needs to stay organized, keep up with her classes, and continue working toward the goals she has set for herself.
