Krissy has faced many challenges throughout her life. With her father incarcerated and her mother struggling with substance abuse, she was often left to care for her sibling with disabilities at a young age. Despite these hardships, she has shown incredible strength and resilience. Since entering foster care, she has continued to work hard in school while maintaining a job. She is excited to take the next step toward independence by entering the Extended Foster Care program. She has overcome so much and continues working toward a bright, successful future for herself.

Krissy is turning 18 and preparing to move into her first apartment as she enters the Extended Foster Care program. She is excited about this new chapter and the independence that comes with it, but she is also nervous about not having everything she needs to make her apartment feel like home. She hopes to purchase some household essentials, including a comforter, pillows, sheets, blankets, bath towels, toilet paper, paper towels, face wash, body wash, and other everyday necessities. Having these items ready when she moves in would ease her worries and make the transition less stressful. It would help her feel comfortable and settled in a place that is truly her own.
