Alexa was removed from her family home in 2023 due to her mother's declining health, as she was no longer physically able to care for a child. Alexa's mother subsequently passed away in 2025, and Alexa's mental health has suffered due to watching the agonizing process of her mother going through hospice care and now missing her every day. She looks forward to graduating from adult school in December 2026, during the holidays!

Alexa needs a new iPhone this holiday season. Her current phone is extremely old and damaged. The screen is shattered and starting to come off, which makes her worried that it could get worse or stop working completely. Alexa depends on her phone for her everyday needs and to keep in contact with her friends, social worker, therapist, CASA, and housing case manager. The battery health of her current phone is slowly worsening; it drains very quickly and overheats with any use. This makes it difficult for her to use her phone. Alexa would love a new phone for the holidays and would benefit greatly from a consistent, safe, and reliable way to stay in touch with her support system and friends as she continues to navigate life without her mother.
